Winter workshop: Fourier Analysis and its applications

01/29/2024 - 02/02/2024
Big Lecture Hall, Rényi Institute

Description

This workshop is mainly devoted to recent developments in Fourier analysis and function spaces. The aim is to represent a wide class of recent developments of the field, such as harmonic analysis on LCA groups, applications of positive definite functions, function spaces and inequalities, Riesz bases, etc.

Registration

If you are interested in participating in this workshop, please send an email to faap.semester@renyi.hu with the subject "participation at Fourier Analysis and Its Applications Workshop".

Important information

The workshop will take place at the Rényi Institute, Budapest, Reáltanoda utca 13-15. All talks will be held in the great lecture hall. Blackboard talks and slides are both possible.

For the program of the conference and the book of abstracts, please scroll down on the right of this page, and find it below the list of Participants.

The conference dinner will take place at "Trofea" restaurant, Kiraly utca 30-32, from 7 pm on Thursday. We can walk form the Renyi institute, starting at 18.30, or you can go directly to the restaurant and meet us there.

Summary

The conference provided an excellent opportunity for domestic and international researchers working on Fourier analysis to exchange ideas and discuss the latest results in the field. Nineteen leading researchers delivered invited (40-minute) presentations during the meeting, and participants had the opportunity to present shorter (20-minute) contributed talks highlighting the main findings of their research. The meeting, attended by 40-45 participants, was successful, with attendees primarily coming from Austria and France. However, participants from across Europe and overseas also took part of the event.

The presentation slides can be accessed via the link associated with each lecturer.
