Public transport
Budapest has a fairly good and affordable public transport system.
To buy tickets and plan your journey you can use the website of the BKK or download the BudapestGO app from the Play Store or the App Store.
The following may be useful:
- single ticket (450 HUF = 1.16 EUR = 1.26 USD)
- 30-minute ticket (530 HUF = 1.37 EUR = 1.48 USD)
- 90-minute ticket (750 HUF = 1.93 EUR = 2.09 USD)
- 24-hour Budapest travelcard (2500 HUF = 6.44 EUR = 6.98 USD)
- 72-hour Budapest travelcard (5500 HUF = 14.18 EUR = 15.35 USD)
- 15-day Budapest pass (5950 HUF = 15.34 EUR = 16.61 USD)
MOL Bubi (bike-sharing service)
In the inner parts of Budapest, MOL Bubi provides a very affordable and fairly convenient service.
A monthly pass costs only 1000 HUF (= 2.58 EUR = 2.79 USD). With this pass, the first 30 minutes of each ride started are free for two bikes. After 30 minutes, the usage fee is 40 HUF/min.
