Workshop on Disordered media

The Workshop on Disordered media (2025 January 27-31) will be held at the main lecture hall of Rényi Institute, Budapest, Hungary. The workshop is part of the Semester on Probability and Statistical Physics hosted by Erdős Center. The goal of the workshop is to bring together probabilists working on subjects related to statistical physical phenomena in random and disordered media. Invited speakers will give 50 minutes talks about their recent results on a wide range of subjects.  Note that one week before the workshop, a School on Disordered Media will also be held at Rényi Institute / Erdős Center.

Registration is now open. Registration deadline: 2024 December 20.

 People wishing to participate are asked to send an e-mail to the address  probstatphys25@renyi.hu , with the subject: "Workshop on Disordered media registration". Your registration e-mail should contain your name and affiliation. There is no registration fee. The capacity limitations of the lecture hall can potentially constrain the number of participants that we can accept. A list of recommended hotels can be found here.
