Focused Workshop on Trace formulae on quotients of hermitian symmetric spaces

Description

Trace formulas are a central tool to understand families of automorphic forms. These formulas relate spectral quantities on locally symmetric spaces to arithmetic and geometric invariants, allowing to obtain valuable information on certain types of objects by studying quantities of very different kind. Such formulas brought lots of results in the recent decades in the case of lower rank groups, in particular GL(2). Recent breakthrough made available such formulas for higher rank groups, and the workshop will gather a team of young and dynamic researchers to foster new projects to obtain arithmetic statistics on automorphic forms for such higher rank groups using these newly available trace formulas.
