The semester is built around two strongly related topics, Fourier analysis and additive problems. In the first half of the semester, we will focus on Fourier analysis and its applications in various branches of mathematical analysis. In the second half of the semester the focus will shift to applications of Fourier analysis to problems in additive combinatorics and additive number theory, covering the latest developments in these fields.
The purpose is to bring together researchers from different areas working on problems of similar flavour. The main activities of the semester are the two workshops, the summer school for young researchers, and the research visits of distinguished scholars, as described below:
Winter workshop: Fourier Analysis and its applications
Research visits at the Rényi Institute: February-May, 2024
Research visits at the Renyi Institute upon invitation of distinguished scholars.
